“An Anthropology of Restraint: What post-Soviet Cuba Teaches Us About Freedom, Agency and Baseball”

Talk by Professor Benjamin Eastman from the University of Vermont. Dr. Eastman is an expert on political relations in Cuba and the ways in which baseball is both a tool of Cuban nationalism and a forum for understanding what it means to be Cuban in the post-Soviet era. Please join us for an engaging lecture, refreshments and a Q&A with Dr. Eastman. This event is sponsored by CLACS, the Department of Anthropology and the FNECC. fnecc@indiana.edu
